“Behold My Servant (Jesus Christ)….
He will bring forth justice and right and reveal truth to the nations…
A bruised reed He will not break, and a dimly burning wick He will not quench.
He will bring forth justice in truth.” (Isaiah 42:1-3 AMP)
You can use this passage to declare a revelatory life bringing shift for yourself, for another, even for groups of people. Just fill in the blank with a name and then decree and declare according what the word says God will do, like this:
(_Name__), behold the Servant of the Lord.
He will bring justice to pass regarding what concerns you (_specify here_), make right what’s wrong, and reveal to you what is actually true. He won’t break you or snuff you out in the process. Yet He will make things right based on what is actually true. So approach Him in trust, fix your gaze on Him, and receive revelation from Him. In His kindness, it will be such a relief; it will be oh so good for you!
By the way, to “behold” is to fix one’s gaze upon. Rather than obsessing over the circumstances, or other people, or addictive substances, or whatever: Fix on Him!
When you pray in faith this way, according to what the scriptures say about who God is and how he acts, then you can have confidence that he hears you and responds to your words. Remember as you look for his answer that he is God. Give him room to answer creatively; expect change to come in surprising ways according to his timing. He knows what is best. Be confident in him.
“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” (1John 5:14-15 ESV)
